Working with Artists
Sarah has experience of working with a diverse range of fiction and non-fiction authors, performance artists, musicians, visual artists and poets. She has been instrumental in the commission of new events, created original literary projects with schools, communities and supported debut writers during their early writing careers. She is determined that all artists attending events should be enumerated and feel appreciated.
She is a creative programmer who produces imaginative events. Her favourite events have involved a number of artists adopting a collaborative approach to create a unique occasion.
For National Poetry Day 2019 she produced a trilogy of poetic movement which explored the relationship between poetry and dance known as Dancing with Words. This clip explains more about the objectives and outcomes of this successful and original project. https://vimeo.com/368287297
To ensure artists and readers remain connected at a time when live face-to-face events are not happening, Sarah is presenting a podcast called ‘Books For Your Library‘ where she can be heard in conversation with people talking about their new books.
If you are a published artist who would like to connect with audiences in the North of England please get in touch with Books Up North or request your publicist or agent to contact Sarah via the publishers’ page.
