Ben Hoare

Ben Hoare is an award-winning journalist who has written and edited many natural-history books and magazines for DK, the BBC, London’s Natural History Museum and many others. Think of a well-known wildlife or nature writer who writes in English, and Ben has probably edited their words at some point. Since 2008 he has been Features Editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine. In 2015 Ben was awarded the Dilys Breese Medal for science communication by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) – he is one of only fifteen people to hold the award.

Jade Orlando has loved art for as long as she can remember. After an impassioned childhood spent drawing cats and mythical creatures, she studied Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jade’s work is colourful with a hint of weird, and has been featured in books, apparel, advertising and children’s products.

Book Review

I learnt I have lots of things that I can do to save our planet from this book... it is 100% excellent, educational and inspirational!

This book told me about how to save the world.

I like the bit that says every cow burps and farts produce a gas called methane, which causes climate change. There are also many interesting topics such as meat eating, air pollution and energy in the home. You can meet some activists like Greta Thunderberg and Kabir Kaul.

I learnt I have lots of things that I can do to save our planet from this book. For instance, I can plant flowers to save nature. I also love my home-made tofu burgers instead of beef burgers. Me and mummy always bring cotton shopping bags when we go shopping so that we do not need to buy a plastic bag in the supermarket. The earth would be much better if all of us work together for a greener future !

This book is really colourful and I really like it. This book is difficult for me but the pictures help me to understand the topics.

I recommend it to a person who is 6-100 years old.

This book is 100% excellent, educational and inspirational!
