Kid’s Book Review: Bears Don’t Share!

About the Book and Author / Illustrator

Bear and Squirrel are on the hunt for some food before Winter comes, but there’s just one small problem… Bears don’t share!

Will Bear learn that you can’t always have your cake and eat it too?
Young children are sure to enjoy learning how the woodland creatures work together to gather food before they hibernate for Winter.

Book Review

I like the end when it is Spring and everyone is happy and there are bees and butterflies and flowers

Rose said:

I liked reading about Bear and Squirrel. Squirrel is always hungry and Bear won’t share. I am always hungry like squirrel so I think we are quite the same.

I don’t like when Bear eats all of the picnic because Squirrel wants some too. I think Bear doesn’t know how to share but then she learns which is good.

I like the end when it is Spring and everyone is happy and there are bees and butterflies and flowers.

Mum’s thoughts ……

This was a lovely read for Rose and I. She enjoyed listening and eagerly joining in with the ‘Bears Don’t Share’ line throughout the book.

We found the illustrations funny, bright and engaging, with every page making us smile.

The book provides a lovely message about sharing with your friends which Rose certainly understood and could very much relate too.
