Kid’s Book Review: Dexter Lost His Boo-Woo

About the Book and Author and Illustrator

This picture book has bags of opportunity for a listener to interact with the story. It is a perfect choice for a young reader with a strong attachment to their favourite cuddly toy.

For Dexter it is Boo-Woo – a scary looking beast with fiery eyes and floppy ears, and twenty pointy teeth!

A crisis happens when Boo-Woo goes missing. In this story do you dare to join police officers, firefighters and more in this gloriously illustrated, adventurous search for Dextor’s beloved friend?

Book Review

This is a fun story that has become a regular read in our house

Rose really enjoyed having this book read to her. It is bright and funny and made us both smile.
Rose had good fun spotting parts of the Boo Woo hiding on each page, along with shouting out the different emergency services that were getting involved with the search.

She related Dexter’s Boo-Woo back to her own ‘Boo Woo’, a toy rabbit which goes everywhere with her. She said she would be very upset, like Dexter, if she lost her best toy.

In the end Dexter finds his Boo-Woo, but there is a twist which Rose found very entertaining. This is a fun story that has become a regular read in our house.
