Kid’s Book Review: Dreamstalkers: The Night Train

Kid’s Book Review: Dreamstalkers: The Night Train

About the Book and Author

Twelve-year-old Bea lives with her mother Ula and her owl Pip in a cottage on the wild moors. Since the day the dreams disappeared, and an affliction of nightmares began sweeping across the lands, everyone is leaving and their settlement is being abandoned. But when Ula grows sick with the affliction, she won’t leave – and she’s keeping a secret from Bea.

Just as Bea begins to despair, the mysterious Night Train steams across the moors, bringing a stranger who offers her the chance to save her mother. Bea is flung into a faraway adventure in the world of the Dreamstalkers, skilled warriors and performers who must go to work each night inside the dreams of the powerful. But the nightmares are following close behind.

Book Review

it is an amazing book about Bea’s and Martha’s Journey into the land of Silvervein with the night train

I am stuck between which character is my favourite, I adore Martha’s kindness but also take a liking into Bea’s strong ambition and determination. My favourite part of the story is certainly when Bea’s owl comes back as this filled my heart with joy.

This book was so addictive I couldn’t stop reading it. The author has chosen their writing extremely well as the author made me feel how they intended during certain scenes.

The only thing I really dislike about the book is how it is left on a cliffhanger of what will happen next!
This is an extremely unique, mysterious, and thrill-seeking book about the real power of dreams.

I would strongly recommend reading this to anyone around the ages of 10-14.
