Book Review
I loved the part where the Dream Defenders, Erika and Beastling went on the clouds and it shows the author’s fantastic and wild imagination
This book is about a girl called Erika who can’t get out of her adventurous, strange dream. The Anger Mare keeps her angry and the Heebie Jeebies are eating the dream crystals which stops her from waking up. Luckily, the Dream Defenders Silas, Wade and Sim are trying to help Erika but will they succeed?
There are lots of things I like about this book. I loved the part where the Dream Defenders, Erika and Beastling went on the clouds and it shows the author’s fantastic and wild imagination. I also liked the bit where the shed was disguised as a Dream Defender HQ.
The book sometimes could have been scarier as it relates to anger, but I would not want it to be too frightening. I think the author made it scary enough as I was terrified when lots of Heebie Jeebies came into the HQ!
I didn’t enjoy the part of the book when I thought Erika was going to fall and was glad when she didn’t.
I would recommend this book to a 8 or 9 year old who likes reading about adventures because the story is about finding where the Anger Mare and Heebie Jeebies are.
Overall this book was enjoyable and thrilling to read and lots of words were written in bold to show Erika’s anger and important parts of the story.
I would rate this book 7 out of 10 as there were angry scenes and happy scenes.
