How to Make A Book
Becky Davies

Becky Davies is a children’s book editor and sometimes author from the South West of England. Her favourite things are animals, books about magic, and anything sparkly. In a parallel universe she lives in Hawaii, where she works in a dog sanctuary and surfs until the sun sets beyond the horizon.

Patricia Hu has been working as a designer and illustrator for years. She likes very vibrant colours and lots of details in her illustration style, and right now she’s letting out her inner child so she can have fun drawing children’s illustration books.

Book Review

Read this book if you want to know in detail about how a book is made

The illustrations in this book are just wonderful! The title is made from books which is very clever. Read this book if you want to know in detail about how a book is made.

I learnt about the interesting process in a fun way- now I actually want to write a book! It also answers any questions you might have about how a book is made. It is very funny because the author gets to eat all the biscuits. My favourite bit was the people doing happy dances because it’s a long process that finally comes together.

The end papers (I learnt that name in the book) have loads of books including How to make a book. It also says about how the book is printed and sold. There are lots of diagrams and illustrations and bright colours. And I am pleased to be part of the process as a book reviewer. The end is really good because the cycle continues.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fun factual books or wants to know how to make a book
