Kid’s Book Review: Jasper and Scruff: Take a Bow

Kid’s Book Review: Jasper and Scruff: Take a Bow

About the Book and Author

The Jasper and Scruff stories are perfect for young independent readers who are moving on from picture books. They still contain lots of nice illustrations that helps to break up the text but the format is definitely more appealing to those children up to 8 years old who may think they are too grown-up for traditional picture books! Take a Bow is the third book in the series written and illustrated by Nicola Colton and published by Little Tiger Press

It is the When Jasper and Scruff hear about the Reach Fur the Stars talent show they know it’s their big chance to shine. But they’re not the only ones who want to get their paws on the Grand Prize – the Sophisticats have a sneaky plan to steal the show…

Book Review

It was really funny when Scruff tried out his magic tricks on Jasper

I really enjoyed the book. It had loads of lovely pictures which were really funny and helped to tell the story.
My favourite part of the book was when Scruff and Jasper were practicing for the Reach fur the Stars talent show. It was really funny when Scruff tried out his magic tricks on Jasper – especially when he cut him in half.
Lady Catterley and the Sophisticats were very cheeky and the ending was a big surprise!

Mum says: Eva really enjoyed reading this story. There were lots of tales that made her laugh and the plot kept her guessing right to the very end.
