About the Book and Author and Illustrator
Meet the Maliks – Twin Detectives is the brand-new illustrated detective series from Zanib Mian which we predict will be really popular with kids who enjoy reading fun contemporary detective stories. Think of Shana Jackson’s High Rise Mysteries, but for a slightly younger audience. We suggest it is suitable for lower Key Stage Two children.
Meet Maysa and Musa Malik. They might be twins but they are total opposites. And together they make an unstoppable team, especially when trying to solve a mystery!
Zanib Mian grew up in London. She was a science teacher for a few years after leaving university but, right from when she was a little girl, her passion was writing stories and poetry. She has released lots of picture books with the independent publisher Sweet Apple Publishers, but Planet Omar was her the first series for older readers. Originally released under the title The Muslims, Planet Omar won the Little Rebels Award 2018, as well as being shortlisted for the UKLA Award and nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal.
Kyan Cheng is a British illustrator who currently lives in Bristol. She illustrated the Bella Broomstick series by Lou Kuenzler, which is also published by Scholastic.

it's an awesome book
I especially like this book because of the description. This funny book has a great plot-line. I would suggest that all 7-8 year olds read it.
The book was awesome because of the illustrations. They were very funny.
I really liked the characters because they are hilarious and made me laugh.
