Kid’s Book Review: Mort the Meek

Kid’s Book Review: Mort the Meek

About the Book and Author

This is the first title in a funny new series written by Rachel Delahaye about an aspiring pacifist in a brutal kingdom! It is illustrated in black and white by George Ermos and published by Little Tiger Press.

On Brutalia violence is a way of life. Ravenous ravens circle overhead, monstrous grot bears cause chaos and the streets are bulging with brawls. But Mort isn’t like the other islanders – he’s determined to live peacefully. His struggle is made even tougher when the cruel queen appoints Mort as Royal Executioner. No one has challenged the royals and lived to tell the tale. Can Mort keep his head and outwit the queen?

Book Review

Mort's plan was clever and the ending up made me laugh

I didn’t like the beginning of the story when Mort was told to chop his friend’s head off by the Queen and Brutaila is not a place I would like to live.
Mort’s plan was clever and the ending up made me laugh, especially what happened.
I would recommend this book to my friends if they enjoyed reading Horrid Henry stories.
I would give this book 4 stars.
