About the Book, Author / Illustrator

A picture book about people and the importance of a community that is respectful. With lovely, lively illustrations this story about a search for a missing dog can also opens up a conversation about homelessness.

Everyday, little dog Fluffy walks through the city with Mum and Lilly. And everyday, they walk past Andy. But they are never allowed to play with him. Until one day, Fluffy gets lost, and this changes forever.

Book Review

It's a book about being kind to everybody

Mum says: Gracie’s favourite character was Andy’s dad because he’s so kind. She liked the ending best because the dogs are cuddling and everyone is happy.

The story initiated a conversation about homelessness. Gracie had a few questions: Where do people sleep? What do they eat? Why is he playing music?

The illustrations were lovely and really supported her understanding of the story, she referred to them throughout.

She found the picture of them sitting in the trolley whilst looking in the shops particularly funny.
