Kid’s Book Review: One Goose Two Moose

Kid’s Book Review: One Goose Two Moose

About the Book and Author and Illustrator

This brightly coloured, funny, rhyming picture book story perfectly captures the chaos of queueing up, and features a fun counting element too that young readers will enjoy repeatedly.

OK, everyone, line up!
One goose, two moose, three goose, four.
Five goose, six moose, seven goose, more.

Kael Tudor writes books for kids. He began writing his own stories at a young age, inspired by the books he bought at school fairs and jumble sales and is now a published author.

Nicola Slater studied illustration in Buckinghamshire and is a very sought-after illustrator. Her style is very character heavy, colourful and playful. She takes influence from old Disney concept art, mid-century modern style and nature.

Book Review

Dylan loves the illustrations and colours in the book

The story takes us on a journey with goose, moose and mouse. Dylan said his favourite part of the book was when the goose said to the mouse – ‘mouse line is over there’ and the goose said ‘wait haha!’

He said he loves the illustrations and the colours in the book along with the inclusion of counting.

Dylan is blending words and reading now he is in reception class and so this book has been great practice reading for him too!
