About the Book and Author and Illustrator
A rhyming festive picture book with lovely cartoon-style pictures to get youngsters in the mood for Christmas.
One week to go ’till Christmas Day,
The final touches underway,
A ribbon here, a flourish there,
And presents piled up everywhere.
Santa smiled. ‘What could go wrong?’
He didn’t have to wait too long . . .
Out of the sky a whirling blur,
Of antlers, legs and soft brown fur,
Came crashing through the workshop roof,
And that’s how Rudolph sprained his hoof . . .
Oh no! Another Christmas disaster! The sleigh can’t fly without Rudolph. Luckily, head engineer Lizzie is on hand to help . .

Book Review
It is a happy, funny and festive read which we are both enjoying
Rose
My favourite elf is the head inventor Lizzie. I like her green hair. It is a bit crazy to have a reindeer that is a robot but it is a good idea if it means that everyone can get their presents.

This is a lovely book to read to my daughter in the lead up to Christmas. Rose loves studying the illustrations and spotting funny scenes within them.
The story is fun and the characters stand out to her, she particularly likes the lead inventor elf, Lizzie.
