Book Review

It is a fast-paced book with lots of unexpected twists and turns to the plot

What would you do if your parents were kidnapped and you got a suspicious message from your teacher?

This is the situation that tech genius Caleb Quinn and martial artist hacker Zenobia ‘Zen’ Rafiq find themselves in, in this high-tech thriller.

Caleb is a teenage programmer behind the game Terrorform but there is a secret to how he created it. Zen is a young robotics engineer who wants to become a toymaker. One of her creations, Beetlebat, helps them on this adventure.

The search for their parents takes the two of them to the mysterious island of Spøklestark where they think their families are being kept.

I found this book very interesting because it made the villains realistic because instead of being purely evil they thought they were doing good. It is a fast-paced book with lots of unexpected twists and turns to the plot.

This is the first children’s book by Logan Macx, who is really two writers, Edward Docx and Matthew Plampin, and I definitely hope they write some more.
