Book Review

Edith talked about the different emotions associated the music we were listening to

Edith really enjoyed this book and identified straight away the different music types and the colours that matched the moods and emotions and how they made her feel.

It was lovely in the car when listening to radio Edith mentioned ‘This song make me feel happy like in the book’ and ‘This is a nice relaxing song Mummy’.

I found it lovely when reading the book with Edith we were talking about the different emotions associated with different music and how the music made her feel.

We enjoyed the pictures in the book and Edith related to the young girl being like her – especially with a pink a tutu skirt.

This is a really enjoyable and very different book but a great way of getting children to associate different music with feelings and ways to express their emotions in music whilst also exploring the types they enjoy.
