Yesterday Crumb Teapot of Chaos book cover

Andy Sagar writes stories, mostly for children (and for grown-ups who feel like they could use an adventure now and again). he was raised in Yorkshire but now live between London, where he wrote this book, and Cambridge, where he is working on a PhD about witchcraft.

He says his stories are all about the magic that can be found in things we often overlook, like tea and books and flowers and the aspects of ourselves that make us feel different to everybody else.

Book Review

it is mythical, magical and fantastic

‘Yesterday Crumb and the Teapot of Chaos’ is such a good book. I would describe it as mythical, magical and fantastic, although the book gets quite dark nearer towards the end. I thought the description was wonderful and you could really feel the characters moods. What I really liked was the messages and morals like friendship and bravery.

I would recommend this book to children aged 8-9 years as it is dark in some places and  I really liked it because of the originality and adventure behind it. This book was exciting and captivating, it was full of suspension and it was a roller coaster of adventure.

I wish I had read the first book in the series before I read this because then I would have been familiar with the characters and understand the backstory.
