Kid’s Review: Dragon Legend

Kid’s Review: Dragon Legend

About the Book and Authors

Dragon Legend is the second book in an exciting new fantasy adventure series for readers aged 8 -12 years, published by Simon & Schuster.

Billy Chan and his friends are not having a very relaxing summer. Their friend, Dylan, has been kidnapped by the evil Dragon of Death and it’s up to them to travel through time, back to the dangerous Dragon Realm , in order to save him.

Luckily they have their own dragons on side, but they’ll need to collect eight magical pearls if they’re to amass enough power to destroy the Dragon of Death and her followers for good. So begins an epic quest that will take them to the depths of the Frozen Wasteland and the imperial palaces of Ancient China .

Brother and sister Will and Eva both read and reviewed this book for us. You can also read their review of the first title in the series: Dragon Mountain

Katie and Kevin Tsang

Katie and Kevin Tsang met in in 2008 while studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since then they have lived on three different continents and travelled to over 40 countries together. They are now living in the UK and have written the popular Sam Wu books together, for slightly younger readers.

Kevin was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Some of Sam Wu’s experiences are based on Kevin’s childhood (he’s feeling much more confident now).

Katie was born and raised in Southern California. She has previously worked at Booktrust, the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, and also writes YA fiction as Katherine Webber.

Book Review

You can’t get more action packed than this

Eva: Dragon Legend is an awesome book to read and like the previous book (Dragon Mountain) it ends in a nail-biting cliff hanger.
In this book the team have to collect all the other pearls to keep them from the dragon of death. Otherwise, she would grow stronger and spread dark magic over the dragon realm.
You can’t get more action packed than this. With a different problem or plot twist round every corner, I hope everyone who reads this agrees this book is breath-taking.
I found it so hard to put it down when it was time for bed, but I was reading it again as soon as I woke up in the morning.

Will: This book was amazing it had a twist at every part of it. It is about Billy, Charlotte, Ling-Fei and Dylan (who has been captured by Old Gold). Their mission is to save Dylan and find the other pearls.  Pearls give you magical powers when you touch them such as super strength or agility. I would recommend this book to anyone that is into adventure books. Overall this book is very enjoyable to read. Out of Dragon Mountain and Dragon Legend I would have to go with Dragon Legend.
