Kid’s Review: Trouble on Planet Christmas

Kid’s Review: Trouble on Planet Christmas

About the Book and Author

This is a lovely festive story for young independent readers. As you scroll down you can tell from what our young reviewer Charlie says about the book; it is a fun adventure with great characters.

Author Kate Saunders knows just what ingredients to add to a story to make it enjoyable for children to read, and publishers Faber chose a super talented illustrator. Neal Layton’s black and white illustrations are fantastic and help to break up the text for reluctant readers, who can sometimes feel a little daunted by a book without pictures.

There’s trouble on the planet of Yule-1, the real home of Father Christmas . . .
The Trubshaw family are flown back from Earth to help out!
Once again Jake and Sadie are transported to a place where elves and reindeer are their friends and everything is about getting ready for Christmas, the best holiday of the year.
Hysterically funny, wonderfully bonkers, it’s Christmas like you’ve never seen it before.

Book Review

I really enjoyed reading this book and read it in 2 days, as I couldn't put it down

I really enjoyed reading this book and read it in 2 days, as I couldn’t put it down.

It is an adventure story about trouble on a Christmas planet.

My favorite character Jack, who is a cheeky human who has had flying lessons. Jack helps deliver presents with FC and becomes one of the history makers.

My favourite part of the story was when they found the Evil reindeer Philopott. I liked this bit because he bought the toy dinosaurs alive which was really cool.

I think children who like Christmas and exciting adventures will enjoy this book.
